5 Tips to Becoming A Social Media Ninja

Welcome to my dojo – are you ready to master the art of social media? Well, you have come to the right place!

Let us begin…

In the age of this digital revolution, many entrepreneurs have incorporated social media into their overall business strategy. While some are opting to outsource this vital activity to qualified professionals, others are more willing to do it themselves. As an entrepreneur and potential social media ninja, which side are you on?

Either way, here are 5 tips to help you become a masterful social media ninja:

Tip #1. Remember, Content is King.

There is a saying in the social media kingdom, that Content is King. But is it really? In my opinion, yes it is. Whether it is curated or created by you, content is the driving force behind any success on social media. Knowing this, it is vitally important that in the beginning, you craft a content strategy that appeals to your audience and also meets your objectives.

Tip #2. Don’t Over Sell, Engage

The biggest mistake you can make on social media, is to constantly talk about our sell your products/services. Why? Because the foundation of social media is connection and authentic conversation builds that connection. Do this by sharing your knowledge and industry expertise along with the promotion of your business’ products or services. With this method, you can’t go wrong.

Tip #3. Timing is Everything

What’s just as important as what you share? When you share! With social media timing is everything. So how do you know when is the right time to post. Facebook for example, has incredible analytic insights that can help you determine what time of day most of our followers are online. Use this as a guide in the beginning to create a schedule to manage your day to day social activity and maximize your reach.

Tip #4. Be responsive.

People sometimes forget in the midst of creating original and engaging content, that social media can be a great customer service tool. It can be used as a medium to publicly resolve complaints and reinforce a positive customer experience. That being said, responding to questions or complaints in a timely manner bodes well for your business image.

Tip #5. Trust your instincts

The most crucial part of being a social media ninja? Trusting your instincts. Your gut will direct you to the perfect path for crafting a social media strategy, finding your voice and seeking out useful resourceful information that works for you and your business. Don’t be afraid to let your personality shine through while embracing each platform’s proven track record. So, in the meantime forget the naysayers and the doubters who don’t understand social media. Chances are, they are never online anyways 😉

Until next time.

Be stealth, my friends.
